Watched this with my family. Halfway through we were all scrolling through our phones. This movie was an obvious cash grab with lazy animation, compared to today's standards. The only praise I can give this movie is the beginning where the interactions between the gang feel natural and heartfelt. This movie then decides to do a complete 180, bringing in characters that I can't connect too while throwing Shaggy and Scooby into an out of nowhere situation while the rest of the gang get put in a little box off to the side. The villain was uninteresting with a generic "this is why I'm evil" backstory. It's so sad to see beloved 70's characters get used to grab a few bucks. I really wanted this to be a good movie, but it was just terrible. I can't even remember what happened near the end because it couldn't hold my attention span for longer than 10 seconds. They even try to pull an emotional stunt at the end which was then resolved faster than you can say "So what was that superhero's name again?" Don't waste your money or your time on this one, because it will only leave you with regret.

Ahhhhh! As a long time fan, this movie was an absolute treat. So many references and easter eggs! Jim Carrey was wonderful as Eggman and Sonic was gorgeously animated and so cute. This movie has great dynamics between characters and good writing. They could not have nailed Sonic's character any better. The end credit scene had me shook! I love this movie and it needs a sequel. Thank you Paramount for listening to your fans and gaining huge success with this movie! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
