Ron Howard's interpretation is factual and unique. This film rated as an dull plot, with bleak landscaping. That type of criticism is an understatement! It is Perposterous! The language, the garments of that time period, the ignorance towards native people of that time and effort to depict slavery from an non fictional character. People may think thats not real or true. However the southwest has its strong cultural heritage. The land is filled with stories. Ron Howard's representation of this plot is quite authentic.
