As someone who grew up with Pokemon Black, this game is very nostalgic for me. This game brought so many changes to the Unova region and added Pokemon from previous gens, which was the main problem with the originals. I'd recommend this game if you've already played the originals but it's fine if you haven't.

One of the best stories in a Pokemon game. However, game play wasn't as good as other games since you are stuck with only gen 5 Pokemon in the main game, limiting the teams you can make in this game. Also gen 5 Pokemon aren't really good stat wise. I'd recommend playing this if you intend to play the sequels, which do not limit you to gen 5 Pokemon, to understand the plot.
