Let's start with you have to love Adam Driver in order to really get into this movie. I do! This is not a dramatic movie. It's a day in the life. My wife said at times during it was like Groundhog Day. But we all experience "Groundhog Days"... We wake up at the same hour we do the same functions and we live our lives. And then the day is over and it starts again.
Paterson is an exquisite work of art. Driver again does a phenomenal job. His co-star as well. Of course being from North Jersey I had other reasons for loving it, especially looking at the parts of Paterson a few people know like the waterfalls etc.
I highly recommend this movie. But again don't expect any murder or mayhem, just sit back and watch a storyline evolve about a person with very unique features especially in this time when electronic devices and distractions overrun our day-to-day organic experience in the world. He's a meditative character.
