While the last Jedi wasn't perfect, it added a fresh spin to the star wars franchise, and sent the saga in a different direction. Unfortunately, this movie completely dismantled any of the new and interesting ideas that the 8th movie retained. This movie was not only unoriginal, but it was also disorganized and rushed. The short shots and quick scene change offer little suspense and lacks the attention to detail that is found in previous movies. The fight scenes are monotonous and lackluster, and fail to support the ruined story line. Characters are two-dimensional, and any attempt to preserve the character development from previous movies is causal thrown out the window along with some of the characters themselves. Its unfortunate that something so deeply rooted in popular culture has to end like this, with a unoriginal and tried ending.
