Did not get the Oscar nod for Best Picture & Director? THAT'S HOLLYWOOD POLITICS! I laughed, I cried, I was awestruck THE WHOLE F TIME and i watched it many F TIMES. Superb or superior film making is an understatement. Genius level, or even Allah's own miracle that poured all over this creation of a film...from the very brilliant direction of Mr Mel "Mad Max" Gibson, awesome technicalities from the writers to the set props & effects, top notched first class actings from Mr Vince, Mr Luke Bracey & the believable Mr Garfield, the breathless cinematography & surreal picturesque takes to the Film's actual substance, a LOVE STORY. Nay mates, not the romeo juliet typicals. A true love, love of God, love for fellow human, even love for ones country - the outstanding sacrify depicted by the sincere tortured souls of the Japs, living in hellish state, defending their homeland. A film, may i say, with a soul some sort. By the way, i m a practising Moslem, and as one, i do appreciate this wondrous beauty of a film, a sort of a Miracle from Him to us all.
