Using so many practical effects brought back this sense of nostalgia. The show felt like it was made with a lot of care and passion, and you tend to enjoy something more if you feel like people put actual effort into it.
The camera work was just stunning, the lighting. It was shot very beautifully. It was funny and interesting, and a little bizarre. Cast of characters you could easily love. An overall, enjoyable time.
I will say, the random usage of British phrases made it feel like I was watching two Americans undercover, pretending to be British. It was definitely a “this is how they speak, right?” American script writer moment. Which made the show funnier, honestly.
