Reading some of the reviews it's clear people truly only watched a few episodes. You see the Aliens starting with episodes 6 moving forward. This is a good show to watch compared to the other nonsense that is on other platforms. The acting is pretty good and since this is a series, you should prepare yourself for the story to develop. Character building and world building are essential to a series. I recommend to check it out.
