The undercurrent of overt and covert racism is a character in this movie. It is a haunting character that is ingrained in the psyche of the college and American history which are very interwined.

For Jennifer Lopez this type of rom com is true to form. She is great in this type of genre. I didn't like the Church concert song in the movie which was blasphemous.
