I LOVED this movie. The pole dancing scenes were hot and JLO gives an amazing performance. anyone who has seen Shades Of Blue knows she is brilliant and multi dimensional. She somehow manages to be ruthless when it comes to the men that she fleeces and a kind of sister/ mother figure to her ‘crew’ but also is she really? Or is it manipulation where she plays of what these girls so desperately crave? I don’t feel like it glamorizes stripping as a profession it accurately predicts the seedy side of the business Constance Wu is equally amazing portraying the struggling stripper who also ultimately has to struggle with her conscience. Great performances by Julia Stiles and a well rounded cast with plenty of cameos (usher, Cardi B, Lizzo to name a few) make this a fun, gritty, naughty, thought provoking movie.
