I am not a bot just here to say not to listen to the stupid 1- and 2-star reviews complaining that this show has *shock horror* gay characters who aren't in the closet or ashamed of it and this show is most definitely NOT She-Hulk. Newsflash to the misogynists, just because something has a predominantly female cast doesn't mean it's going to be woke and show all the female characters to be indestructible and the other BS criticism I've heard. Also if you're only going to watch one or two episodes why the hell are you leaving a review in the first place? Yeah I concede you have to have an appreciation for camp and at least a mild appreciation for musical theatre to appreciate the music and overacting (clearly done on purpose for comedic effect or to differentiate trapped Agnes from free Agatha), but you certainly don't need previous MCU knowledge beyond WandaVision and it's one of my favourite witch movies/shows of all time. It has stereotypes but it's also aware of them and challenges them, it alludes to other witchy things like WandaVision alluded to television history and as a lover of witchy things I love it for doing so, the women and men all have flaws which drive the plot and give the show so much depth, the jokes add levity and campiness to what would otherwise be a show that took itself way too seriously and was too dark, it's a truly immersive adventure, the music is Grammy-level (not surprising it's written by EGOT winners), the costumes are fun and beautiful, the writing to me is incredibly well-paced and organized (I don't understand how people find it confusing... all my questions are getting answered with each new episode, especially 7), and the acting is fun and authentic to the point that I can feel how much the actors loved working with each other and truly grew into a family. It's sad that people are too prejudiced to see the beauty that I and many others do.
