This movie captured my interest immediately and kept me spellbound throughout. I have a short attention span, and I’m a movie critic who usually screens 150 movies per year (pre-pandemic) so, keeping me totally engrossed in the story is great. The acting is superb. And, I had the honor of interviewing esteemed filmmaker Errol Morris after seeing his documentary “The Unknown Known” - about Donald Rumsfield and the likelihood that he knew about the torture by Americans at Abu Ghraib. I will definitely watch this movie “Mauritarian” again. Excellent film.

it was captivating, intriguing and atmospheric but it should’ve been easier to follow. Great use of cinematography & music. The actors were superb. The only problem was the jumping around in time and not leaving enough breadcrumbs for viewers to know what was going on and where it was leading to. That said, I’d watch it again to look for any clues that were there but way too obtuse to get the plot twists. My two cents.
