My top 10 list. Best Western of all time. John Wayne's best role. Some of the greatest character actors in supporting roles. The detractors of this movie are clueless or have (PC) hang-ups.

The best "Bro-mance" since - dare I say it - Brian's Song! I was more stunned by "Viggo the Viking's" convincing portrayal of an Italian than Silvio (Sopranos) was upon learning Jimmy Caan wasn't Italian. Both honorary members. Who knew Aragorn could play a "Gavone"? A serious, heavy topic was lightened with infusions of Ferrelly humor. There are #SJW critics who complain that the dialogue crossed the line; that it didn't peddle enough guilt; it wasn't accurate; that it was Driving Miss Daisy in reverse; that as usual the white guy is the savior. I would give them a Tony Lip response. Italian-Americans were stereotyped, not the African-American star playing Don Shirley who, btw, "saved" Tony as much as Tony saved Shirley. The message was delightful. Snap out of it.

Gut wrenching without being maudlin or gratuitous. Based on a true story but more importantly it's a subject that's not treated with the same urgency as other crises. However it involves our most precious resource, children. It adds the requisite suspense and action, perhap embellished. That's a typical Hollywood formula to get the message out, but many in media have a problem with the movie and it's unfathomable why. The score is also noteworthy.
