Well..
It's ok.
They didn't do a great job demonstrating the amount of years between events, and sometimes the scenes can be utterly lacking in action for a prolonged period of time.
The right actors were picked for each role, I just wish they slowed down during film making, and re-did a few talking scenes maybe 4 or 5 more times to really capture what they were trying to say better.
Most of the dialogue scenes feel like a first or second take fresh out of the box, and just edited instead of Acted.
I'd say a good 70% of an episodes play time keep me engaged enough to watch and not take out my phone while on the couch watching it.
Acknowledging it is the Second Age, where not a lot happened, it is good for what it is, I have seen plenty of other shows completely butcher a story. This is filling a small LotR gap I didn't know needed to be filled. I am happy it is out, maybe it is a good setup for a season 2!
