So, short story long… my husbands been talking about NOTW for years! I would tell him he’s crazy for listening to it 5 or more times, and I wasn’t a big book “reader” (he listens to audio books), so I wasn’t ever going to get into it. Fast forward to about 2 years ago, I bought him the actual NOTW book, and I myself tried and failed to read it. Fast fast forward to 8 months ago when I finally agreed to give NOTW a real try, on audio books. I’ve been practicing with Podcasts for about a year and thought, well, it’s time to try a book, I guess? Hands down, the best book of my LIFE! I’m currently on my 3rd re listen of Day 1 & 2. I’ve listened to The Slow Regard Of Silent things and I finished The Narrow Road Between Desires today. I couldn’t help myself, after finishing I had to start Day 1 over again. I will admit, Pat, that, after my first listen through of Day 1 & 2… I was, well, pretty angry with you. But, after Auri’s book, and watching a few of your YouTube videos.. I began to not be so mad. You’re a perfectionist, down to your bones!! I don’t doubt that Doors Of Stone is being re edited, and re edited over and over and over. I don’t doubt that you’re just as sad as we all are that it isn’t out yet. I respect you. I respect you for giving us a good Fucxxng story! I respect you for not releasing something until it’s up to your standards, until it’s truly ready to be read. The Narrow Road Between Desires, was my favorite so far. And I didn’t think I would be able to say that! Because I’ve listened to Day 1 & 2 going on 3 times now, I didn’t think I could love a story more. But, I did. Bastes relationship with the town folks kids is without a doubt the funniest stuff I’ve ever read! Anyway, this reviews is as long as our wait for Doors Of Stone at this point, but, uh, I love you. Thank you, Patrick Rothfuss! Love - An angry but not so angry reader of your amazing books!
