Wow. I knew NOPE was up my alley but I didn't expect to fall in love with it so much. I love horror films while the UFO genre isn't really my jam, I do love some alien horror, such as Signs, Alien, Tommy Knockers etc. But this movie is in its own genre--that's thing that gets me. There is something about NOPE that feels....new. And the characters make it so. OJ is enacting revenging, carrying on his father's legacy, and reconnecting not just with his sister but with people as a whole. The way that the 'UFO' connects to his experience makes the movie. And its also gorgeous to look at. Well done, Jordan Peele.
