I am no historian but..... WHAT A JOKE! The acting is dire, the plot of the film is non existent, the timeline is all over the place, it completely misses out the reasons/significants on how Napoleon became emperor. Battle of Austerlitz was 'made up' in terms of cannon balls being casted into the lake. 1809 campaign was missed out, 1812 campaign is inaccurate as Napoleon never led cavalry charges. The battle of Borodino was only viewed at a glimpes and ignored the battle of Berezina. 1813 battle of Leipzig (his greatest defeat) got ignored, and the significance of leaving Elba (his 1st exile 1814) was ignored. His main significance was to put the country right again NOT because of his 1st wife whom they've been divorced for 3 years and his 2nd wife is barely shown. The battle of Waterloo shows trenches, when there weren't any trenches until WW1 (around 100 years later) Wikipedia is more informative with his most established conflicts...

How can a cartoon such as 'Fred quimby Tom and Jerry be frowned upon... and a live action sadistic Christmas film like Home alone 2, 3 and 4 be OK??? Its ridiculous, I physically can't watch the 2nd film onwards because the pranks get more violent. Some todays parents don't know the difference between a 'cartoon' and a 'live action' film.

Absolutely fantastic series. They thought long and hard to put a series of that era to come together very well. The acting was superb and I can say that there's not many other war films/series that focus on the Polish side as well. But not just that.... It was also focusing about how people lived to survive such devastation. (or in some cases, the extreme measurements of sacrifice to protect others. E.g: the mother and epileptic daughter.) I am thoroughly looking forward to the next series of 'World on Fire'.

Plot was all over the place and too many over the top scenes. First time I’ve walked out the cinema bored. They’ve clearly gone to far with these films.
