Real score 8.5, but fun factor is a 10. I currently have 32hrs into Biomutant, so I believe I can give a good summary. I’m currently almost 1/2 of the way done, but doing side quests and etc galore. The art is beautiful. The story is good; nothing on par with Witcher 3 or etc, but serviceable. The world is unique. The combat is fun and wonky; similar to old N64 games with a decent amount of variety when including melee, range, Psi-Powers and crafting. The narrator I saw people hated, but I don’t mind him. Nobody tells you that you can mute him Bc all they cared about was hating the game upon inception. Tons of mounts. You have blimps, jet skis, mechs and more! The world is varied. The fact that this is a debut game by Experiment 101 with a staff of 20 is mind-blowing. I could continue for a few more paragraphs, but I digress. The game is superb on my XSX. A few bugs arose, but nothing compared to many open-world games that have a Dev Team in the 100’s which is ironic. Totes worth the money and the support to see what they can make next. I’ll update my review if anything changes, but very doubtful. I love this new IP. Suffice it to say when all the updates are dropped to fix the minor things and then hopefully followed up by future DLC this will definitively be in my Top 3 fav open-world games of all time.
