*spoilers* This film isn’t really for kids, tbh. I found it slow and pretty boring. There were a few scenes that were heartfelt. But nothing special. Then there were some elements of the movie that were quite frankly cringe-worthy. 1) Why is the young girl’s imaginary friend an adult male clown? That couldn’t be more creepy IMO. 2) Why is a 12 year old girl wandering the streets of NY alone at night? 3) Why is a 12 year old girl sneaking into a men’s bathroom? Does anyone else find this incredibly alarming??!! This movie was clearly marketed as a fuzzy kids movie, but it actually had very mature themes in it that no kid has any business thinking about. Definitely skip this if you have kids.

The battle scene dragged on way too long. I lost interest half way through and honestly didn’t care how it ended. The slow motion scenes were endless and unnecessary. The characters really weren’t that interesting and the acting was over done so badly that it made the movie comical rather than engaging. The visuals were cool but they seemed unoriginal and plucked from other movies. The robot was just weird and kinda spooky actually. And finally the musical score was so overly dramatic that it didn’t seem to match the scenes in the movie. To sum it up, it was loud, long and pretty boring. Which is a shame because I really wanted to like this project. But no…
