An ensemble cast of veteran actors, a topic of vast untapped potential, and the most scenic place imaginable on earth - and Suraj Barjatya somehow still managed to make a movie which is mediocre at best. The first half holds a lot of promise as the story builds up and of course great acting with good humour makes you feel like something amazing will happen. After the interval, however it’s a complete 180 degree turn. Unnecessary emotional monologues, random passes at generational gaps, lost love and lost opportunities - they tried to stuff in too much into one movie and that was the movie’s undoing. The audience leaves a little baffled as to what to think at the end, it’s supposed to make you feel like you’ve conquered Mount Everest -but it just falls short because it’s intermittently also giving other unnecessary life lessons.
