Wow, sat down to watch this series with my wife and two of my kids, 10 and 14 y/o boys. As a 42 y/o I read most of the Hardy Boys books that my dad had and when I was done with those I moved I to the Nancy Drew books my mom had. They were great kid mystery books and I loved em. As others have said, 5 min into the pilot, Nancy is having sex with some guy (I have no idea who, I shut it off) I’m not going to opine about morals and what society is like today. That’s a completely different argument that some folks will not back down on. Bottom line, Nancy Drew was 17, I have to assume the guy is 17 too. I have no desire to watch underage kids having sex, (Last time I checked, we had laws against that) and I as a parent, I am bothered by The CW, treating teenage sex like a foregone conclusion, not to mention the complete destruction of Drew’s literary character. I turned it off, then I deleted the CW channel from our TV. PS, I would feel EXACTLY the same if the same sex scene were to have been in the first 5 min of a Hardy Boys series. It has no place in these story lines.
