I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Genuinely, it is very well written, made and casted. It is refreshing to see a quality take on the classic spy / espionage story. Would love a sequel but I worry that the critics in all their stupidity sabotaged the chance for one.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how ON EARTH this movie got ANY negative reviews. It was perfect when I was a kid and it is perfect to me still as an adult. One of the greatest.

Rarely does a movie about "young and inexperienced kids overcoming their personal troubles to band together and overcome insurmountable odds to save the world because experienced veterans failed" succeed. This movie is no different. Having children operate mega robots and fight aliens is stupid and poorly done. It really takes away from the more grounded (as grounded as you can be in a robots vs alien movie) take from number 1. It only gets three stars because ut looks cool
