Meh. I love descriptive books, but this book is so overly descriptive it makes it boring. The story is.. okay. Extremely predictable. Felt like the author was trying to cram every big word he could think of into the book. The writing is amazing, literary speaking but it's too much for a horror book. The story gets lost a lot. I forgot it was horror for practically the whole book. It gives the same energy as the first paranormal activity. A few jump scares for the first 4/5th of the book and then crams all the gore and scare in at the end. I personally would not refer to it as "horror" and I wouldn't recommend spending $30 dollars on it. If it was like $10-$15.. maybe but don't waste your time. There's far better books out there than this one. Giving it 3 stars for the literacy.
