Very realistic. It could happen here… maybe is. I just looked at all the one star reviews. They are almost all copy and paste and I think they are done by bots. This movie is slow and does take patience but it is not a “horrible,” the description used over and over again in the monster reviews. Why are the bots out to get it?? Because it is associated with the Obamas? Because the story is too close to Trumpism? It has an excellent cast and is a really interesting commentary on race, family and the times we live in. Give it a shot.

Messy, complicated. So worth it. The subplot of 2 gay men living with the constant danger of homophobia is more real than almost anything ever filmed. And Millie - don’t get too close but call her when you need her.

OMG. Contrived. Bloated. Very “Mutder She Wrote”

Plot is all over the place. Particularly annoyed by the cop who forged evidence w/o consequences or explanation. Dubbing is really terrible. Oh and there are twelve in the jury and in the title but we only hear from 6 1/2 of them. LONG LONG shots of people riding in cars and arriving home. I binged the whole thing (at 1.25 speed) because I am a sucker for mystery. One of the worst.

First I gave it 3 because I really did not like the music or pacing. But then I saw that the 1 star reviews were from homophobes. Went back and added a star. The gay angle is true and well presented.
