Started off promisingly then descended into a boring, pointless, self-conscious debacle. Ultimately made no point at all. Nothing really connected, little made genuine sense and it all felt like a second rate version of the 'old pals get together' genre. Not one character had any substance, not one was remotely likeable- or even unlikeable- they were just dull, uninteresting and utterly forgettable.

I cannot understand all the 5 star reviews of this show. Are they all Welsh patriots? I disliked the main character immediately with all her histrionics and the almost lascivious camera focus on her face, expressions and high heel shoes. Hello? And the hair shaking and pouting lips - all in slomo close-ups like some teenage bloke with a hard on is doing the filming and she's loving it. Diabolical and excruciating to watch. I felt like a voyeur. As for the storyline, starts off in interesting fashion then drags itself into other labyrinthine dead ends and spurious attempts to make Village Life look like a House and Gardens issue with deep, dark characters worthy of The Bronx. And I think the Welsh Tourist Board has big stakes in it as well as it seems to spend most of its time highlighting the admittedly glorious scenery. No-one lives in an ordinary house or wears daggy clothing - even the degenerate drunk had a cool grunge look about him, like a deranged Bob Dylan. Unfortunately in the current Insta and Tik Tok age this kind of piffle is becoming more common. Forget strong and engaging narratives with a beginning and an end and let's all just show off our meagre talents. I gave up midway through episode 4.

Absolutely offensive. Very nasty film. Racist. Misogynistic. Revolting characters. Risible plot and dialogue. Nothing can save it.

Unwatchable. Indulgent pretentious nonsense. Don't waste 40 minutes like I did.

Dear God almighty what a load of pretentious nonsense. Starts off ok - sinister, creepy and definitely reveals the nastiness women have to tolerate from the men we encounter on a daily basis. However., it spirals very quickly down into the dross. I think the point of misogyny could have been made without the diabolical descent into surreal piffle.

The very very very worst of English cultural sludge

Boring. Juvenile. Some good, funny moments but a mishmashmess as far as I'm concerned. Quite liked Joy and of course Jamie Lee Curtis good when not being ott. Greatest joy however, was the moment this film ended.

I enjoyed this film. It's just a film. It has a story and it is well done. It is strange and mysterious and as a metaphor for patriarchy it has its own power. I think all the so- called controversy about this film overshadows it's merits as a good film.

A rather rambling and long-winded tale that lacks a real core but is strange and engaging in a way. Faultless production values and acting but the narrative elements could do with a bit of work to give it a more cohesive feel. Lacks a real sense of drama too.

This film is a load of pretentious and pointless nonsense. Utterly utterly boring. Full of supposedly suggestive and meaningful motifs and symbolism signifying nothing. Tedious conversation that are apparently revelatory but do nothing to hold this audience captive. We decided to pursue it to the end as an exercise in our own resilience and to see if anything actually does happen. It's just a different version of the Thanksgiving family drama done better elsewhere.
