It was an annoyingly preachy, thinly veiled analogy of modern American politics. Those who dislike the previous president will feel irritated by the reminders of that presidency and the patronizingly preachy tone of this movie. Those who were fans of the president will be offended. It's a lose/lose. The plot is a mish-mash of so many different story lines that it is almost nonsensical.
