Adam Shipley

A great coming to America story that is heavily romantic and dramatic. Explores an interesting duality of racial identity. The relationships are complex and challenging, much like real relationships between people. However heavily dramatized for the sake of the story. This movie is pretty slow paced and has some elements of an “artsy” vibe with the camera angles and in the way that it focuses on subtle body acting and dialogue. This movie is not for everyone, but i found it to be both sad and happy with a rich and compelling narrative and strong cast.
