Well... Let me be honest. I loved the plot. It was fantastic! However! It is rated PG for a reason. The reason I will describe below. SPOILER ALERT!!! "Turning Red" deals with "puberty" and the mood swings of a typical teenager. There are also clashes between parents and the fact that the change is bittersweet for both the parents and their offspring. The movie teaches a valuable lesson to parents: letting their child choose their future and support them on their decision. Though as the child in the movie "Mei-Ling Lee" grows apart from her mother, she still loves her and the same can be said for her mother. Overall a fantastic movie about life and about how a person always hides an unknown side to them! It has been rated PG for the references to menstruation (Ming Lee arrives at school as her daughter who she thinks has started menstruating has forgotten her pads and thrusts it in front of her class).

Awesome anime. Do suggest that you see it. SPOILERS AHEAD!!! Loved the setting and the animation. A little too bright for an anime (which explains the 4 stars). However, once you get past the brightness the animation is brilliant. The haikus that "Cherry" wrote struck differently at different times. Though this haikus he and "Smile" got close to each other and overcome their insecurities. The search for the Yamazakura record also brought them close... However, it was pretty sad how Cherry had to leave the city at the end.

You can watch it. However, I do not recommend you to watch it at a get together because there are far better movie options than this one. SPOILERS AHEAD!!! Umm... About the film... It was umm.. Good? No, it was, uh... It... didn't quite meet the expectations! There, I said it. Yeah, the animations were pretty cool. I know that it was pure hard work making the animation look so real. But, uh... The plot... There was not... It was not a good story... I mean, yeah, Mirabel was a strong and bright character but the whole story was so rushed. The starting was spectacular. I mean, it had the sense of mystery and all but the story started falling after Mirabel found out that the Calista was "cracking". The problem with the plot was: a lot was thrown in, in a short amount of time too! And it didn't make any sense. The songs were melodious and fun, though. The film symbolized that "black sheep" in families and out are not "ceptional" but "Gifted" in their own way. Aaand...That's good enough for me.

Just LOVED it. The plot was marvelous. I really recommend it. However, if you are 12 years old or less, I would recommend you to watch it once you're older. It is not because of weird stuffs but because if you watch now you won't probably understand the themes and the depth of the whole story. SPOILER ALERT!!! Like everyone else (with a heart) I cried... hard. And when I say I "cried", I am not exaggerating. There were a lot of foreshadowing, like Kaori's destination being the hospital and the black cat dying and I kinda knew Kaori would die in the end. Though, I knew Kaori would die, it was still very shocking. Her character was full of mystery and color. She was spring itself. Of course, Arima and the other characters were wonderful too, but Kaori was exceptional. Her fate was tragic but she helped a boy learn his purpose in life. She taught him how to live although she couldn't live herself. It's just a wonderful reminder of how short life is, how we should cherish every moment and think about what is than what could have been. I really recommend you watch it.
