I did not think this could be worse than NHL24. I was sadly mistaken. Congrats EA, you got my money this year, but this will be the last time. This game is an abomination of hockey. For the record, I only play EASHL. Current offside and icing rules are not applied, or they are applied inconsistently. Body and stick position mean nothing, especially if your opponent has a ridiculous spine angle, that EA allows and will let them reach through your body and take the puck. The AI players are historically dumb, numerous times the AI has actively worked against the rest of the team. Please make a goaltender that can properly square up to the shooter on a 2 on 1, or will actually cover the near post on a sharp angle shot. One timers are completely overpowered, and real hockey plays are not rewarded. The pressure system is broken, it continues to increase even when the offensive team has not taken a shot and is just dangling around in the offensive zone after being forced to the outside. The Grudge Match system is broken, it is being applied for opponents that we have not previously played. Please hire some people who know something about hockey and can program a real hockey game. NHL 25 is not hockey. To be successful, you need to be able to exploit the silliness of the game. The less you know about hockey, the more you will like this game.
