Some beautiful visuals and colourful characters are enthralling. I don’t agree with the reviews that don’t like the shift between locations. I think it keeps the viewer engaged and sets the stage for a coming together of all those affected.
The LOTR and HOBBIT movies often had lengthy slower scenes that did nothing to deepen the story, only lengthen the duration. This current format is highly entertaining and stunning to watch, so perhaps those that are expecting something slower and more cerebral should remember it’s a TV series and not an epic movie trilogy.
