I think the concept was brilliant.
I feel the presentation played to a television audience but I think anyone who’d paid a lot of money to be there in person probably found it boring or frustrated at being unable to follow the journey like those of us who are able to see the vision fully realised on tv.
Gaga and Celine were great choices. Celine’s comeback stole the show for me, which isn’t a good sign. This needed to be so much more.
A great effort France but I’m in agreement with most who feel the audience physically in Paris deserved better entertainment. The Pavillion setup under the Eiffel Tower gave me elitist vibes. Like if you couldn’t afford to get in there, you don’t have access to the finale. A stadium brings the audience together and everyone else knows that if they’re not in the stadium, they can catch everything on television
