Lupito Nyong'o and Kit Connor, shine in this movie, I don't review movies often but this movie made me cry, laugh and changed something in me. It was like Wall-e, Finding Nemo and The Iron Giant all in one. Get Kit Connor in more movies. The animation was beautiful, dreamworks has found it's stride in this beautiful new style and even though it doesn't rival Puss in Boots 2, it still stands as one of the best animated films ever. The cinematography and the score worked so well together and created an enticing atmosphere that really hooked me, I felt like I was apart of the world and it was amazing. Give this movie a chance so that we may see the other books adapted to the big screen! The jokes were amazing, most landed and others were really good, this movie was amazing for both kids and adults and doesn't treat either as lesser. This coming-of-age and coming-of-own movie was beautiful, and the themes of motherhood, youth, adulthood, loss of innocence, friendship, love, family were beautifully portrayed. While some things could've been addressed in more detail I have hope it will happen in a sequel. This was an amazing movie, definitely worth everyone's time, regardless if you have kids or not.
Edit: We did it guys! A sequel is in development at the moment, with Chris Sanders and hopefully all of the original cast returning!
