If you had a top 10 list of most essential TV shows for your entire life time, then this is there and although it sits happily alongside other essential greats - this is top spot for me. I just wish there had been a season 6 and a final 7th in the making. The story of Uhtred son of Uhtred (Uhtred of Bebbanburg) is certainly an intriguingly colourful one, one that experiences much but looses much in his quest-full lifetime. The nitty gritty historical realism, cinematography, costumes, attention to detail and everything else when watching on a large screen with cinema sound, makes one feel that they exist within the world of past. Probably the closest we'll ever get without a time machine. Such a fascinating time to experience both visually and through sound, from the comfort and safety of our chairs without having to experience for ourselves the harsh realities of medieval times and deadly battles. The Last Kingdom is a visual feast, a vivid mental trip and memorable experience. I certainly shall be watching it again at some point.

One documentary that you should watch in your lifetime. It matters not if you watch this many years later; the ideology of greed and those driven by it still exists today with many corporates clambering for a piece of the exponentially wealthy pie and it goes all the way to the top - sometimes even those in public office. There is profiting and then there is profiteering… with the latter akin to a criminal racket being highly organised and a very sophisticated white collar crime infrastructure, which over time has been complexly interwoven into the fabric of the upper ranks of corporate & financial cabals and positions of power! Sadly genuine, common, hard working salt-of-the-Earth folk are always the victims and not only does this ideology and abuse within capitalism still go on today, it’s set to continue and grow - after all greed always grows, it doesn’t subside… until eventually the people decide they’ve had enough! —————————————— An Orwellian “Animal Farm” situation comes to mind, with the pigs representing the greed gorging 1% (Squealer delivering the propaganda of course) and while the rest of the Animals (the people) are controlled, manipulated and conned for everything they have and everything they can produce.

Massively underrated DC Superman movie in every aspect. I have just watched this again in Oct 2021 and was left spellbound as well as feeling desperate for a sequel. The ridiculous underrated review scores only serve to do this movie an incredible injustice and quite possibly influenced the movie makers to hold back on a sequel, which is a terrible mistake. Boo-hoo to the critics and reviews which seem to lose the plot with each passing year. This is a fantastic movie and adaptation of one of America's (and the World's) favourite super hero! Go for that solo sequel DC
