Present Day: Go Jung Won, Hwa-Shin's best friend and a better gut than the lead, likes Nari. then she became unavailable. Hwa-Shin, crying over spilled milk, then starts liking Nari. And then Nari, now being swayed by it. By episode 17 (of 24) you already know that Nari would choose Washin. What the writers and director did to make you root for Hwa-shin is they force much tension betwwen Nari and Hwashin and absolutely none between Kyung Pyo and Nari. The jerk got the girl.
