As usual, Massie comes in with a masterpiece. Peter The Great is a riveting tale of the late 17th/ early 18th century Russian Czar who transformed Russia into a world superpower. Incredible detail of a way of life long past. Not only do I recommend the biography, but "Castles of Steel" and "Dreadnought," both by Massie are also masterpieces!!
