Hello. I felt the need to leave a “review” and also a comment. First of all, this piece of literature is incredible. The writing style, the horror aspect, and the plot was executed perfectly. 5/5, if I could rate higher, I would. But these reviews are killing me. So, what? You didn’t do your English project? Edgar Allan Poe didn’t craft this story for you to hate it just because you’re 12 and have a bias against ELA. This is a site to leave reviews on the literature itself, not whatever assignment your teacher had you do. Also, I’m an advanced freshman in high school. I read this in 7th grade, and it was phenomenal. My opinion of it hasn’t changed. Students, especially middle schoolers and high schoolers, don’t realize the great opportunities and works of art they’ve been exposed to. Appreciate opportunity, or have the decency to realize that while lit might not be your cup of tea, it’s very disrespectful to trash the work of a dead person.
