A good read BUT the whole point of escape and evasion is you do NOT STOP unless you are exhausted. Sleep when you are dead and all that. You never give the hounds a chance to catch up. There would have been hundreds of dirt farm tracks to take the wanted car down. The lack of tradecraft from a supposed one of Americas best field sppoks as a basis for the rest of the book is unbelievable. Shane.

Really poor and unecessary ending. His storylines stick in the end to what lawyers want. Not the readers. Book ok until the ending

I read a LOT. I recently re-read the Novel. I loved this book. I do agree with other reviews that the murder was unecessary and seems to have been an afterthought. I do think the opposing views as to the purpose of a novel that the Novel book is essentially about perhaps could be reconciled toward the end. Sometimes, if not mostly, reading is about escapism and profundity is not needed. I think what is missed is the multipurposeness of the genre. Its not all or nothing.
