So what I'm basically reading from all of y'all is that the show is too woke (or gay and black) and too anti-Tony Stark.
Who is Tony Stark without the suit? The "genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist". A man that came from money and resources who eventually grew a heart. "He made a weapon out of a cave" yeah, he's a genius and has always been surrounded by equipment. I have respect for him but he isn't self-made. His dad taught him most of what he knows and he inherited that skill set and added to it. Tony Stark is awesome, but Tony Stark CANNOT represent the black community.
And Riri is "stubborn" and "strong headed". That's what y'all call every black woman will a goal. She doesn't back down despite what the world says. That's what I've heard my entire life. So has me mom and my sister.
The show focuses on "black stereotypes". No, they aren't stereotypes. These are real things going on. Gangs, violence, poverty all still exist and is well and alive in the black and Latino community. Sure, maybe your life isn't centered around those things, but several lives are.
Black community: You want to see black excellence, this is it. This is black excellence. A young woman with a poverty background making a name for herself.
White community: Your "too woke" comments honestly just annoy me.
Marvel community: I love yall and I understand, but keep in mind that this is coming from RiRi's Point-of-View. It's what SHE thinks. Not what Marvel thinks. Keep in mind that the main director is Ryan Coogler who directed both of the Black Panther movies. It's not like he doesn't know Marvel. Clearly he does and has made two successful movies from it. Instead of focusing so much the unfairness to Tony Stark, how about we focus on the storyline and plot. (P.S, she was in Wakanda for a bit. Wakanda technology is more advanced than Stark technology. When comparing the two, it makes sense that's she's more favorable towards Wakanda).
Thank you and good night
