I'll give 2 stars because no matter what role, I love Steve Carrell.
He's an awesome comedic actor, but he definitely has more to him and I enjoy his dramatic roles. People out there- stop putting Steve in a box!
I didn't mind all the indepth talking/therapy sessions because it was thought provoking. We were all rooting for him to get out. So that leads me to why I can only give it two stars...
*Spoiler alert*
Insert angry face! In the end, killing Alan off instead of making the mom or Sam come to any honest realization of how wrong it all was- well that was just bogus! Stupid ending! Even if it would have been unreasonable that Alan could have fought back, Sam could have had a moment of clarity and stopped it. For that reason I cannot say I liked it.
