I am just an ordinary person that wants to be entertained and I couldn't believe the vulgar 1st scene! I watched further and saw a morbidly obese man being disrespected, abused and selling his soul to a smart mouthed brat of a daughter that didn't deserve to be in the presence of her dad. Is this what you want people to see and think this is OK to treat someone this way?? If this is what the Academy and Hollywood thinks is good for their business it's a sad day in this country!! I watched the 1st half hour and couldn't take any more of the filth!! Hope you all that gave the Whale such high praise are in your right mind!! You think all this needed to be told about the life of an obese man and it's worth the highest award we have for acting? God help us!!
