Sounds like the plot to Slaughterhouse 5, but it turns out to be far more silly and far less consequential. (Although philosophically speaking, it's not possible to be less consequential than the plot of SH5, since Vonnegut was challenging causality.) Anyway, Shuffle is a disappointment.

Brilliant film, top cast, good script and in my view, better than the book.

First of all, there is something weird about the reviews here, because this is a low budget, indie experiment and not some amazing five-star movie. It is rather more like watching an unsuccessful play in a provincial theatre, based on a thought-provoking idea. Practically the whole film takes place around a dinner table. It's okay. Not a complete waste of time, but not far off it.
