Horrible film with great performances. The film does not really dwell on any of the most intriguing moments. Neil running from one of his prostitution jobs, him trying to get normal work at a sandwhich place, or his underdeveloped companionship with friends he has a lot of chemistry with. Instead the movie revels in disturbingly long sex scenes that I had to skip for my own sanity. And getting kid actors to try to display sexual acts through facial expressions seems to go against the message the movie is sending. The making of this film likely tainted the childhoods of those actors. Some good ideas with a horrible execution that over indulges in filth. Brian's storyline is much better overall. But is much shorter in comparison to Neil's repetitive and disturbing narrative.
