This is a superb addition to the mad Max series. Anya Taylor Joy lives up to her last name What a joy to watch this woman take on a role that was almost made for just her from the start of the saga For much of the movie, she has nothing to say in the script, but she acts with her eyes and the motions of her head and arms and hands. It’s really truly wonderful to watch the nuanced performance from such a talented actress. In keeping with the mad Max theme, the story can be very convoluted if you haven’t followed it from the start. What I love the most is the way she took on Furiosa and makes it come to life in such a different fashion than Charlize Theron did in the previous incarnation of this role. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this movie and my only reason for a four-star is that I didn’t get enough of Anya Taylor Joy!!
