I know many people fell in love with this but I did not. I found it very disturbing and unrealistic. The book is extremely fast-paced. If your speed is good you can complete it in one go. The beginning was very good, really liked the interaction b/w Ryle and lily and the naked truths. Although it was a little unreal as to who shares their naked truths with a stranger all in all it was a good start to keep the readers intrigued. The story of lily and atlas was too good to be true. Though I liked the way it was taken slowly & steadily.
Talking about Ryle (unpopular opinion) but I do feel his character was good but somehow in the story he was put in a bad light. I didn't understand why lily did not tell Ryle about atlas and her past and why she kept that magnet even if she wanted to keep journals & magnet she could have at least told Ryle about everything. I do understand she had her past traumas to overcome & I liked the way she realized that Ryle was nothing like her father. She should have told Ryle about everything he really loved her. But also nothing justifies him hitting her or most importantly trying to rape her.
I liked the whole pregnancy part and the way Ryle was with her. He did everything she wanted & the delivery part the way lily make Ryle understand his mistakes. But I didn't like the ending, lily running back to Atlas as if she always loved him and not ryle.
The ending was dragged and chaotic. Overall the story was a mix of sadness, romance, friendship, dark & disturbing.
One more thing Ryle's sister doing a job in a flower shop when she owns a floor was never understood but I like her and Marshall's banter. I would like to read more about them in a new series.
