It’s a fun game if you like turn-based action strategy games or games of that nature. It’s very similar to XCOM in gameplay and controls for the most part but all in all doesn’t deliver the same quality game. I like the story and am a fan of Gears in general so I enjoyed my playthrough but I wasn’t a fan of the gear system or the menu layout/style and the maps and game types felt repetitive. It looks and feels solid I just wish certain aspects were a little more polished and detailed. That said, I played this through Xbox Gamepass so no complaints whatsoever on my end as it was a free to install. It’s fun but just made me want to play XCOM 2...

In all honesty this is one of the best video games I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing and it is also arguably the best instalment in the Assassin’s Creed series

This is a solid game with some cool additions compared to previous instalments. That said, AC Odyssey is a far superior game in my opinion and if they had just recreated that in Norway and England with some simple adjustments and a few new bells/whistles I would have been much happier. The visuals are beautiful and I love the viking experience but I think it lost a lot of its roots by leaning too heavily into open combat and almost entirely abandoning stealth. It’s worth playing of course but after the buildup i was disappointed, especially after being so incredibly impressed with Odyssey.
