Finally got a chance to watch it. Boy do I regret it or what!
I grew up watching bond movies with character of Bond as clever, daring man who doesnโt take orders, never gives up and turns the worst situation around by venturing closest to the death but never touched by it, all the while disregarding others lives, properties and rules and considering the life most fleeting one. Everyone else be damned for the good of the mission.
Guess what we got hereโฆ โI apologizeโ, โI am sorryโ, โI love you (crying)โ, I canโt find my way out so I am gonna die here needlessly, i need someone to whisper in my ear what to do next, talks more mundane than any other predecessor and the list goes on.
This movie both literally and figuratively kills the character of James Bond. And as if everything else was not enough, audience is told that 007 is just a number. I can never forgive this bad butchering of the entire franchise. Ian Fleming must be turning in his grave.
