Mo is just funny over the top at first. Mo the main character draws you in with his humor and urban setting in Houston. Then it becomes much more than skin deep. Mo then shows its depth. Moving from current issues and tackling both side. It deals with religion, immigration and assimilation issues, new world values versus old world traditions, the Palestinian occupation, relationship issues, issues of self worth and lifeโs values, cultural identity and family issues all through MOโs life and eyes. Moe is the main character but all supporting characters and cast are talented actors and comedians. The ragtag group are an unlikely but loving band of support in MOโs journey. The journey of Mo both his physical journey to his motherland and mental/emotional journey are a joy to watch. The lessons are wrapped
In humor and in outlandish yet hysterical scenarios like mo being kidnapped to Mexico selling falafel tacos, meeting the ambassadors wife and being asked to sleep with her so that the husband can watch, all lead up to an intense conversation of Palestinian conflict and ir occupation. The show is brilliant.
