Pleasant storylines and understandably well received Sunday night viewing, but why does everything look so brightly coloured , and everyone so perfectly made up and dressed? Having lived through this period I know that this is an unrealistic depiction of the times.
What wrong with a few hairs out of place and some more believable crumpled clothes?Even the set dressing is much too neat ,and the local shop looks like a cardboard cut out!
The whole drama would ring with more truth if the the visual tone was turned down a few notches and the โlookโ to be observed in a more authentic way. Please less ironing!!
