THE ONY REASON I GAVE IT THREE STARS is because it gave some good jump scares and some creepy crawlies along with the actors and actresses performance was worth the stars. The movie wasn't.
I was prepared for the horror aspect, but it was too artsy for me. It just seemed like they were trying to go too abstract.
It felt that the hell this woman went through for the simple factor of having kids was too much. Body mutilation, medications, therapy and all that. The amount of attention focused on not having children meaning there is something wrong with you was too much and how it molded the women's perception of herself.
It didn't feel like horror. It felt like a artistic and abstract look at a struggle a woman goes through when they don't want to have kids. It left you feeling like you missed something and not even realizing what truly happened to the woman.
The only horror aspects were of how she was hallucinating and it warped her perspective of her own reality. It didn't give you any insight into what was causing her tokophobia only why she didn't want to have kids which were extremely valid reasons.
This whole movie just left me frustrated because nothing amounted from everything. I mean, just because you are trying to convince yourself you want to have kids doesn't mean you become a homicidal maniac with no clear idea of what you are doing. The movie was just.
