basically the movie is about a lady, struggling with her life (work and relationships with her family members) until one day, his husband from another universe contacts her to ask her help to save them from Jobu Tupaki. Won't say further to give any spoilers.
Message:
what I believe this movie was trying to portray was depression. maybe far-fetched, but, I could relate a lot of how Jobu Tupaki felt to depression and hopelessness the youth has in this generation.
The mother might act as what a psychologist might be, but regardless, it shows how everyone's existence matters to such an extend that it can alter universes.
Mother's love is strong. a determination a mother has is immaculate. Evelyn breaks herself so that she can fix her daughter.
"All day...I don't know what the heck is going on. But somehow this feels like it's all my fault."
"the only thing I do know is that we have to be kind....Especially when we don't know what is going on."

โYou underestimate how the smallest decisions can compound into significant differences over a lifetime.โ
โEvery rejection, every disappointment has led you here to this moment. Donโt let anything distract you from it.โ
โItโs okay if you canโt be proud of me. Because I finally am.โ
โYouโre not unlovable. There is always something to love. Even in a stupid, stupid universe where we have hot dogs for fingers, weโd get very good with our feet.โ
Be kind to yourself, your relations with others and everyone around you. Your actions always make a difference.
You cannot help and change the world but you can help someone and change their world. Everyone is struggling in their life so if we can't help them make it better, we shouldn't make it any harder for them either.
Reviews:
It was a very moving and emotional movie. its makes sense and no sense. imagine shooting a movie in a tax department building about a bagel. but also imagine a movie summing up all your emotions in 2 hours.
